Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 15, 2026 · Last updated: September 15, 2026
1. Introduction
The #NOT62 Coalition (“#NOT62,” “the Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit or interact with this website, located at not62.vercel.app (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes the categories of information we collect through the Site, the purposes for which we use that information, the circumstances under which we may disclose it, and the choices and rights available to you. By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
This Policy applies solely to information collected through the Site. It does not extend to information collected offline, through unaffiliated third-party websites linked from the Site, or through any other means not directly operated by us.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information that you voluntarily submit to us, including:
- Constituent policy suggestions. When you use the policy suggestion form on the Governance page, we collect your full name, email address, neighborhood ZIP code, selected policy category, and the content of your written message.
- Donation information. When you make a donation, payment card details are collected and processed exclusively by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”). We do not collect, receive, or store your full payment card number, expiration date, or security code on our own systems. We retain only the donation amount, frequency (one-time or recurring), and the status of the transaction as reported to us by Stripe.
- Administrative account information. Members of the campaign team who are granted access to the content management dashboard provide an email address, which is used exclusively to authenticate and authorize dashboard access.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
As is common with most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically log certain technical information when you visit the Site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URLs, and timestamps of access, for the limited purposes of maintaining Site security, diagnosing technical issues, and preventing abuse of public-facing forms (for example, rate-limiting excessive form submissions from a single source). We do not use this information to build advertising profiles, and we do not operate any behavioral advertising or analytics tracking on the Site.
2.3 Information from Third-Party Services
Certain features of the Site rely on third-party services that may independently collect information as part of their operation, as described in Section 5 below.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- To review, respond to, and route constituent policy suggestions to appropriate campaign staff and steering committee members;
- To process, record, and issue confirmation of donations, and to maintain accurate financial and administrative records;
- To authenticate and manage access to the administrative content dashboard;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and its underlying infrastructure;
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity; and
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information collected through the Site to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. How We Share Your Information
We may disclose information as follows:
- With service providers. As described in Section 5, to third-party vendors who process information on our behalf and under our instructions.
- Within the organization. With campaign staff, steering committee members, and authorized volunteers who require access to carry out the purposes described in Section 3.
- For legal reasons. If required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
- In connection with a business transition. In the event of a reorganization, merger, or transfer of substantially all of our assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We engage the following categories of third-party service providers to operate the Site. Each provider processes information solely as necessary to perform its function and is bound by its own privacy policy and terms of service, which we encourage you to review:
- Supabase, Inc. — database hosting and administrative authentication services.
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing for donations. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — transactional email delivery for internal notifications.
- Cloudinary, Inc. — image hosting for steering committee photographs.
- Google LLC / YouTube, LLC — video hosting, video playback, and administrative channel publishing. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and content delivery infrastructure.
5.1 YouTube API Services and Google User Data
Our Site and administrative content management system use YouTube API Services to allow authorized administrators to connect their YouTube channel, display channel connection status, and upload official #NOT62 campaign videos directly to YouTube.
By connecting a YouTube channel or viewing YouTube content on the Site, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information regarding how Google collects and processes user data.
What Google Data We Access and Store: When an authorized administrator connects a YouTube channel via Google OAuth 2.0, we access the connected channel's basic metadata (channel ID and channel title via the youtube.readonly scope) to display connection status, and we use the youtube.upload scope to upload designated campaign video files directly to the channel. We securely store the OAuth refresh token in our encrypted database solely to enable authenticated video publishing. We do not access, view, or store private viewing history, search history, comments, subscribers, or personal Google profile data, and we do not modify any existing videos on your channel.
Revocation and Deletion: Administrators may disconnect their YouTube channel at any time directly from the admin dashboard, which deletes the stored OAuth credentials from our database. Additionally, users can review and revoke access to the #NOT62 application at any time via the Google Security Settings permissions page.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site uses a strictly necessary authentication cookie, set only when an authorized administrator signs in to the content dashboard, solely to maintain that authenticated session. This cookie is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or analytics purposes. Your display theme preference (light or dark mode) is stored in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie and is never transmitted to our servers. The Site does not deploy third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to maintain accurate campaign and donation records, comply with legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Where you have requested deletion of your information in accordance with Section 9, we will delete or de-identify such information except where retention is required by law.
8. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including role-based access controls restricting information to authorized personnel and encrypted transmission of data in transit. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information submitted to the Site.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights with respect to the information we hold about you, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and, where applicable, to object to or restrict certain processing. You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the information in Section 13. We will respond to verifiable requests within the time period required by applicable law.
Notice to California Residents. Depending on the volume and nature of our processing, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA/CPRA”), may afford California residents additional rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. [COUNSEL TO CONFIRM APPLICABILITY BASED ON ORGANIZATION SIZE/ACTIVITY.]
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.
11. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including partner organizations and embedded video content, that are not owned or controlled by us. This Policy does not apply to those third-party sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page; your continued use of the Site following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
